How it works: 1. Moist air is pulled from the living space, basement or HVAC return through the dehumidifier evaporator coil using an internal blower. 2. Refrigerant in the evaporator coil cools the air passing over the coil to below dew point. The custom, extra-thick evaporator coil is specially designed to maximize the condensation of moisture. As a result, moisture condenses on the coil and drips off into the drain pan. The unit will remove 90 pints per day (minimum) at 80 degrees F and 60% RH. 3. The cool, dehumidified air then passes through the condenser coil. As it does, the hot refrigerant in the condenser coil warms the air. 4. The warm, dry air is then discharged to the living space, basement or HVAC supply duct. The dehumidified air can be mixed throughout the whole-home with the use of the built-in fan cycling feature.
